Coordinating transportation needs is a major undertaking to finalize bus routes, stops, times, number of runs required, and record in Infinite Campus.  At the start of school, completing transportation information is extremely important.

• Afternoon drop off guidelines: Dayton policy is any student PreK through 3rd grade needs an adult present. If no adult is present or immediately visible at the bus stop (meaning if they are sitting in a car, in their house at a window or on the porch and cannot be seen by the driver) then they are returned to the school. There is a form that can be signed to have these students released on their own or with an underage sibling. Exception to this rule would be if any student outside of these grades voices concern about getting off on their own and does not feel comfortable they will be held on the bus and returned to the school. Anytime a child is being returned to the school the driver notifies us via radio, we notify the school via phone and the school will contact the parent to discuss pick up.

So we can ensure your child has the correct transportation before the start of school. If you do not have the BusRight app. Please contact the bus office and we can send you an invite.
